It’s almost five in the morning. I have been having these mixed feelings since yesterday. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. Tomorrow is my flight to Australia.

One more day and I’ll be with my siblings. We’ll spending the holidays together. What more can I ask for Christmas? Nothing will beat the feeling of being with my family, celebrating the special days with them. It’s been a long time since we’ve been together for Christmas and New Year. How I miss them so much!

This is going to be a fun Christmas and New Year. :)

My mom and I were apart for sixteen years, and eight years of it were wasted. We did not talk for eight years as if our relationship did not exist. Over two years ago, my mom added me up on Face book. In spite of everything that happened between us, she added me on Face book. She wanted to revive our relationship. I did not decline. I accepted it and was willing to reconcile with her. It was a worthy decision. 

My mom did not forsake me. She loved me unconditionally and forgave me dis-hesitantly. All those years we did not talk were gone now. We had become friends. No, we we became best friends. It was a happy feeling that I could tell my mom everything. No secrets and lies. My mom knew the best in me.

I love you so much, and I’m sorry if it took us eight years before we can talk again. I’m happy that no matter how far we are from each other we talk almost everyday. I’m thankful with the advances in technology that now we can talk and see each other as if we are not apart.  I cannot wait to see and be with you mama. We’ll cook and eat together. We’ll jog, do the laundry, shop together. We’ll make new memories - happy ones. I love you ma!!! :)
